Share Stories: To Gain Attention Or Marketing Strategy?

Tags
Many social media users currently shares their stories in the platform they used.

Husband cheating on his wife, parents not praised their excellent children, dold digger girlfriend and many more.

However, at the end of stories we can see they were selling hijabs, cookies, frozen food etc.

In marketing, we may need to share a story to make people know what is our product or services. It makes people know the functions or is it very useful for their daily life.

But do we need to share our personal stories to the public to make people buy our products? Or is it just to make more people watch us shares some stupid stories to gain more viewers and in the same time make profit from it.

I watched Shark Tank and Ted Stories almost everyday. Two different shows in youtube makes me think the method of marketing used to make brand awareness quite different in social media.

In Shark Tank, the business owner try to pitch the sharks for certain amount of money. In returns they need to share profits or become share holders of the business. If they were lucky, the business owner will be granted hundred thousands of dollar to boost their business from the sharks.

In Ted, people sharing their thoughts and experiences. Most of them has been successfully tried their best to be a better person. Shares their stories and people will know who they were before and who are they now.

But in social media, it is not like that. You shares your bad stories, experience seeking for attention and some even make a fake stories to gain people attention. And the other social media users like it. Strange right? The number of people like bad stories are as much as people who like good stories.

However, in marketing strategy, we need to use any method to make sure people acknowledge who you are and what is your product. Then people will know and feels want to buy from you.

Feeling is important to make people attracted to buy your product.

Let say, you tell your stories in surviving with any kind of health problems, makes people feel sad and pity to you, and then tell the audience/viewers that you want to sell a product to continue your medical treatment which cost you thousands of ringgit. Automatically, thousands of people will buy your products and some of them will ask your account number for donations.

Basically, story is just a story. And the story can make people feels happy, sad, anxiety, depress and etc. From the feeling then it comes the profit.

So, are you a attention seeker? Or a good marketer? Look at the mirror.

Aku ada Mild Depression?

Tags
Tadi sajalah aku duduk diam-diam kat bilik sambil main dengan Demok.

Lepas tu aku pun gatal pi search pasal Mental Health kat google.

Keluarlah website Here To Help. (Korang boleh tekan utk direct ke website tu.

Lepas tu, aku sajalah ambil test dia. Tak bnayak soalan pun tapi ok lah pada aku, sebab senang sikit soalan dia.

Aku pun jawablah dengan jujur.

Mula-mula dia keluar Mood Disorders Screen. Aku ada Bipolar Disorder. Lepas tu ada sambungan test lagi sikit.

Lepas habis semua test dia kau tengok result aku ni.

Aku ada Mild Depression.

Punyalah aku fikir sejak bila aku ada benda ni pun, aku tak tahu. So, aku decide untuk tak fikir banyak, start kereta, aku pi tengok keindahan alam.

Aku rasa itu lebih baik dari aku fikir yang bukan-bukan.
